Prescribed Parts

Prescribed parts are parts that are required to be recorded on a Form 2 vehicle register in NSW. These can then be added to a Job when fitting to a vehicle.

Search for an existing parts.

Enter a new prescribed part.

Enter who supplied the prescribed part, the supplier must already be available in the list or add the supplier in the Maintenance > Suppliers List

Reference field for the suppliers address.

Reference Field for the suppliers Motor Dealer licence number.

Select the description from the available list.

Enter the make of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter the model of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter the body type of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter the built date of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from MM/YY format must be entered.

Enter the Engine number of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter the VIN of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter the Acquisition Date of the vehicle that the prescribed part came from.

Enter how much you paid for the part Ex GST.

Enter the supplier invoice number you were issued at the time of purchase if available. If you would like Workshop Mate to create a Purchase Order automatically you will need to have filled out this field.

Creates a Purchase order for the prescribed part including the purchase invoice number, supplier information & cost of the part.

Creates the part in Workshop Mate but doesn’t create a Purchase order.

Contains the details of where the Prescribed Part has been sold, including the Customer, Vehicle and Job.
